Happy New Year, a London Christmas Eve and English Jewels

Dear Friends,
first of all I'd like to apologize for not keeping up with the blog.  There is no good excuse on why I did this.  I finally got to make more jewelry and I have not been keeping up with the blog to show it!
Well here is my first New Year's resolution:  no matter the outcome or the following or whatever, I will write a blog at least every 2 weeks and strive to write one every week along with making jewelry, at least one to two pieces, aiming for three each week.  I know I can do better, so I will!

With that said, let's move on to the fun stuff...we have a lot to catch up to, together.  Well first of all and foremost

May your New Year be filled with joy and richness of soul, of adventure and why not? also monetarily!  We all need those means to meet those ends as well...nothing selfish if it's for good reasons!

I also would like to share a few pictures from London...I was there for Christmas on a business trip and I was lucky enough to be able to bring my beloved husband with me.  Although everything was closed (including antique shops, I'm afraid), we still had a great time visiting main sites and enjoying special Holiday Decor.  So here are some highlights, starring Christmas Eve Night:

I just love how these lights above are suspended to look like fireworks...and the double-decker bus was the perfect touch on this Christmas Eve picture.

Harrod's, the most famous English upscale Mall, thriving with designers like Valentino and Ferre' was magically spectacular this year, not only thanks for the wonderful Christmas lights, but also for the amazing window displays featuring Disney Princesses mannequins wearing spectacular designer clothes...check out Cinderella's shoe! Just to die for...

The Carousel in front of the Natural History Museum looked fantastic spinning around near the ice-skating ring on Christmas Eve ( I was a bit too tired to skate unfortunately...maybe next time!)

I will post more pictures next week in a New Blog, because I really have quite an amount, so I will break them up...I still have to share pictures of my creations!

-------------------------

So here are the jewels of the week...I thought it would be a good place to start for New Year's...

So of course before I went to England, I got super excited and I remember acquiring these cute English pocket change purse a while back...so I made a nice statement piece with it, and of course it's available in my shop

Fit for a Queen right?  And why not have Elizabeth as that Queen...she still is The Queen after all, and that coin is Vintage starting this year!  I especially love the Silk Ribbon on it...I purchased it from this really cute old lady that hand-dyed all the silk ribbon she had back in the 30s.  She is so proud of it, and she should be!  Absolutely gorgeous!

Then these little earrings are just precious...the kids remind me of Jane and Michael Banks...the kids from the movie Mary Poppins, that I'm not ashamed to say, I've watched again before Christmas.  Childhood memories are the best!

My earrings collection is starting to grow...as you can see...

Well that's all, my friends, for this week...I hope everyone is enjoying this New Year's Day as much as I am...

Au Revoir!

I love it, it does take clearer images...I'll tell James you loved his pictures, he'll be Happy! Happy New Year and thanks for stopping by! :) Can't wait to commission my necklace...I'm trying to get a special item for it :)
