More London Pictures

Bonjour my friends,
I wanted to keep up with my promises to write more blogs and stop finding excuses. I was tempted to find the excuse that I have no new jewelry to show this week, but I then decided that it would be worth sharing a few more pictures of London.
Last week I shared my Christmas Eve night in London and this week, I will show my walk through the city on Christmas.  Unfortunately not much was open, however buildings and beautiful sights never disappear for the holidays.

First thing I chose to photograph was this lovable Christmas pig...I just couldn't get over the socks! ;-)

We then headed to Buckingham Palace.  Oddly enough it was hard to take picture of the whole thing, so we just resigned to get a few pretty details.  Check out those iron gates and the Queen's memorial! Impressive!  I'm not sure who the queen sitting on the throne is, but if I had to guess, I'd say Victoria... She looks incredibly regal!

James' Park was phenomenal even in the winter.  Ducks, swans and albatrosses kept us company along with some well fed squirrels!  I love this tree and I couldn't believe it was in bloom despite the freezing cold!

I just couldn't resist being in a picture with the Big Ben and the so awesome telephone booths!  In a I-digital era, it is really a delight to see these standing, working and actually being used!

I thought this was too cool to ignore!  It's just such an awesomely steampunk ship!  It's a fountain really...but one of a kind!

We ended the day circumnavigating the Thames River and these are the highlights... The tower Bridge and the London Eye (which was closed too, but was still neat to look at).

And now, I better get to working, one necklace is being forged ;-) and other one is being conceptualized!
Au Revoir till next week!

  1. Beautiful pictures, Alessandra! It looks you and hubby covered a lot of ground in just a few days. The overcast skies add a bit of mystery to the scenery too. Thank you for sharing! :) Robyn
